The 25th Annual Gulf of Mexico Deepwater Technical Symposium will be held August 22-24, 2022. The Symposium is a joint effort between three local professional societies (American Association of Drilling Engineers (AADE), New Orleans Geological Society (NOGS), Society of Petroleum Engineers Delta Section (SPE)).
The overall goal of the symposium is to foster an open discussion of our industry's challenges and successes, share knowledge, best practices, new technologies, and improvements to existing technologies with a focus on case studies in the Deepwater Gulf of Mexico. The presentation materials are not recorded or published.
Proceeds from the Symposium are used to support scholarships and other educational efforts promoted by the supporting societies.
The technical sessions will plan to include presentations covering a wide array of topics including:
- Geoscience
- GOM Outlook
- Emerging Technology
- Production Systems
- Well Completions and Interventions
- HSE & Regulatory
- Drilling Technology
- Reservoir & Economics
